Diversity Equality and Inclusion

Beneficiaries of the programme

Supporting business for over 20 years
Forward thinking organisations incorporate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion into both work processes and service delivery. Major organisations such as the NHS often talk about the benefits that they have accrued through recruiting a diverse workforce. Individual expectations from organisations have changed. People expect that their differences are accepted. People expect anti discriminatory practices and believe that they should be allowed to bring their authentic self to work and not to hide who and what they are.

This course is designed to update delegates on the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. It also supports individuals in understanding their responsibilities under the Act. In particular their responsibility to eliminating all forms of discrimination. The course explores equality, diversity and inclusion and uses emotional intelligence as a strategy for managing relationships and workplace challenges. It also helps individuals to understand prejudice, conscious and unconscious bias in self and others.

The programme has a big emphasis on behaviour and explores positive behaviours along with negative discriminatory behaviours. The programme also focuses on the impact of emotions and explores how managing own and other emotions helps to prevent situations from escalating. Most importantly it supports delegates in challenging
inappropriate behaviour safely and effectively.
